Dorn Creek Fishery and Wildlife Area

The 287-acre Dorn Creek Fishery and Wildlife Area is located north of Oncken Road between CTH M and Q and contains a mix of upland grasslands, Door Creek and associated wetlands. The property is a public hunting and fishing area partnership between Dane County Parks and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and consists of 80 acres of county lands and 207 acres of DNR land along Dorn Creek.  A small gravel parking lot on the north side of Oncken Road provides seasonal walk-in access. Deer, pheasant and waterfowl are the primary hunting opportunities.

In 2018, a section of Dorn Creek was the site of the first Dane County Legacy Sediment Removal Project.
