The 34-acre Sugar River Wildlife Area is a public hunting area located between USH 151 and the Military Ridge State Trail. The Sugar River winds though the southern third of this property and offers limited trout fishing opportunities. Nearly all of this property is lowland/wetland offering waterfowl hunting opportunities. Parking and carry in canoe/kayak access is possible from the south off of Bobcat Lane. A small Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) gravel parking lot is located on the north side of the property off Country View Road.
