The 82-acre Mount Vernon Creek Fishery and Wildlife Area is a public hunting and fishing area located on STH 92 just west of Mt. Vernon on the northern edge of Donald County Park. The property is a combination of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) Mount Vernon Creek Fishery Area and Dane County owned lands that offer walk-in fishing access and deer and turkey hunting as the primary recreational opportunities. Much of the property consists of wetlands and crop fields. Parking access is available at a WDNR gravel lot on the south side of STH 92.
